One of the many positive attributes of AIAN programs is their ability to gain strength through their culture and lifeways. During this two-part session, participants will explore ways to connect Head Start and Early Head Start learning expectations for children with their own cultural lifeways to create a warm, culturally based, meaningful, and responsive environment for children and families so that they can stay true to their culture and support school readiness. We will explore management systems and strategies to support the development of community assessment, program goals, and fiscal needs that support culture and lifeways.
