About me
Jeremy Walton has spent the majority of his career supporting the social-emotional literacy of young African-American boys and advocating the recruitment of black and brown men to work in early childhood education.
Jeremy has a vast history spanning over two decades in the Early Childhood sector. Jeremy currently serves as an Instructional Coach at Next Door Foundation Milwaukee. During his 19 years at Next Door, Jeremy has worked as a teacher, facilities/day porter, and IT Support Technician. As an Instructional Coach, Jeremy models best practices for teachers, facilitates professional development, and helps educators develop achievable and measurable goals for professional growth.
Jeremy focuses on early education and provides individualized mentoring and coaching for new and experienced educators to ensure that they use research-based best practices to provide the best care for all students in their care. This work has allowed Jeremy to apply his years of experience as an early childhood educator and his degree in early childhood education.
When Jeremy is not working with children and their families, mentoring and coaching educators. Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife and children, gaming, watching sports, sci-fi films, anime, wrestling, and working out.
