Kurstin Kolodziej, M.S. Ed.
Statewide Early Childhood Social Emotional Coach
Kurstin Kolodziej has been working in education for 19 years and this is her second year as a Statewide Early Childhood Social Emotional Learning Coach. Within this time she has served in multiple roles including: special education classroom teacher, itinerant special education teacher (working in regular education classrooms, homes, and community based locations), diagnostician, birth-to-three transition coordinator, Wisconsin Early Childhood Collaborating Partners EC Content Specialist/WMELS Coordinator, Early Childhood Program Support Teacher, Pyramid Model Coach, and most recently coordinating district wide SEL, PBIS, and Mental Health in the role of District Mental Health Navigator. During the 2023-24 school year she began her role as Statewide Early Childhood Social Emotional Coach. In this role she has provided support to multiple districts who have received a grant to promote the use of evidence based practices to promote social emotional growth for preschool students with IEP’s. In those districts she provides direct coaching to staff, district leadership support, and also provides statewide early childhood professional learning opportunities. Kurstin lives in central Wisconsin with her husband and family, including 4 children and 2 dogs. In her free time, Kurstin enjoys attending her children’s sporting events, hunting, ice fishing, taking walks, and golfing.
